Cancellation Policy

Our goal is to provide high quality Occupational Therapy services to all our clients in a timely manner. No-Shows, late arrivals, and frequent cancellations impact our ability to consistently support your child and limit our ability to help other children who need therapy and who are on our waitlist. Our therapists spend significant time planning sessions specifically for your child, and appointment times are limited; we appreciate your commitment to your child’s care. This policy is in place so we can help as many children as possible.

Consistency is key to your child’s success. Occupational Therapy is a medically necessary service for your child, and all of our therapists have extensive training that gives them the professional expertise to be able to help your child improve and succeed. If your child is unable to commit to consistent therapy, his or her progress will be negatively impacted.

Please be mindful that your child’s therapist spends a significant amount of time planning for your child’s individualized weekly sessions to ensure they are receiving the best care. If you need to cancel please contact info@kidshine-ot.com as soon as possible.

If you cancel with less than 24-hours’ notice for ANY REASON, your account WILL be billed $50 per child, per cancellation. In the event of a true, unavoidable emergency or illness, you will be given the option to either reschedule within two weeks or pay the late cancellation fee.  (All sessions must be made up within two weeks to avoid the late cancel fee).

Please be aware that if you are more than 15 minutes late for your child’s scheduled appointment time, we will be unable to see your child and your account will be charged $50.

No Shows

The fee for a NO SHOW will be the cost of a private pay session. Your child will not be able to return to weekly sessions until this fee is paid. 3 no-shows for your child’s scheduled OT session will result in being removed from the weekly schedule and put on our flexible schedule.

Excessive Cancels

Please keep in mind: More than 3 cancellations or no shows in a 3-month period will result in having your child removed from our weekly schedule and placed on our Flexible schedule (unless there are extenuating circumstances). We also reserve this right to place your child on a waitlist for a consistent therapy slot so that another child can have the opportunity to benefit from OT services from one of our therapists. This policy will be strictly enforced.
